Widening subject choices for Sixth Form students at British International School in Ukraine

By King's InterHigh

In an effort to broaden A Level subject choices for Sixth Form students at the British International School in Ukraine (BISU), King’s InterHigh and BISU have joined together to deliver online A Level courses to new and existing and in key specialist areas.

In operation for 24 years, The British International School in Ukraine (BISU) is a member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). It operates from three campuses in Kyiv as well as one campus in Dnipro. The school welcomes children from three to 18 years of age and offers the National Curriculum for England, leading to Cambridge IGCSEs and A Levels. Learners may also study the IB Primary Years Programme and the IB Diploma Programme.

The partnership between BISU and King’s InterHigh reflects both schools’ commitment to educational excellence and outstanding achievement. Demonstrating relentless focus on delivering an exceptional experience for ambitious young learners, Mr. David Cole (Principal of the British International School in Ukraine) and Mrs. Loretta Conway (BISU’s Head of Sixth Form) actively searched for solutions to provide their students with outstanding, flexible A Level courses in complement with the school’s current subject offering.

A number of students at the British International School in Ukraine desired to study A Level Further Maths, a specialist subject that King’s InterHigh is able to offer. King’s InterHigh’s collaboration with BISU enables the school respond effectively to the needs of their student community without putting any undue pressure on their existing resources.

Mrs. Loretta Conway commented: “We have been very impressed with how supportive King’s InterHigh have been since the beginning of our new partnership. Both staff and students are very happy with the quality of teaching and communication. We are all looking forward to an excellent year.”

With 16 years of expertise in online learning, an impressive academic track record of A Level results, and numerous graduates enrolled at Ivy League and Russell Group university destinations, King’s InterHigh is delighted to work alongside BISU, empowering students in the Ukraine to achieve their own A Level success.

Mr. Gareth Lucas-Howells, Head of Business Development at King’s InterHigh, said: “We are delighted to be working with the British International School in Ukraine to complement the excellent work that they already do and to widen the opportunities for students with Cambridge-accredited, live, online A Level lessons.”
