Our course:
The course follows the national curriculum at key stage 3 and aims to support students to: –
- know and understand the history of the United Kingdom as a coherent, chronological narrative
- know and understand significant aspects of history across the wider world
- gain and deploy an historically grounded understanding of abstract terms such as ‘empire’ or ‘civilisation’
- understand historical concepts such as continuity and change, cause and consequence, similarity, difference, and significance
- understand the methods of historical enquiry including sources and evidence
