Who is the course designed for?
Our KS2 music courses are designed to inspire a love and an appreciation of all things musical. Throughout the year, a series of topics are taught half termly, enthusing our students, but also growing their musical competence at the same time. We would like to equip our students with the key critical thinking, problem solving and creative skills they will use daily across all of their subjects, developing their curiosity and ability to research, present and deliver a project.
Finally, we aim to build strong foundations for our students as they progress to KS3, introducing them to the importance of social and historical context within various musical genres, and the closer, analytical research and reflection that they will undertake at KS4.
