Valentina Fulco | From Model UN to studying Law and Politics
Online school has provided Valentina with the opportunity for self-discovery. She tells us how having time to explore new interests has helped her learn what she wants to do in the future.
The teachers at King’s InterHigh have been very supportive and helped me if I had any questions. There’s a variety of students from different parts of the world. I’ve been able to make connections everywhere, and I’m thankful for that.

Why did you join King’s InterHigh, and what has your learning journey with us meant to you?
I was having bad experiences with teachers and students at my primary school, which gave me a lot of anxiety. This made me scared to talk to people and made it difficult to concentrate on learning. So I decided it would be better for me to join an online school for secondary school.

Is there something you’ve learned from King’s InterHigh that’s special to online learning or your situation?
Online school has helped me learn about myself, whereas students or teachers would influence me a bit more at my previous school. There’s been more opportunities to take part in activities. I really enjoyed the Model United Nations experience, especially as I was having a hard trying to learn what I want to do at university.
Joining the Model United Nations has helped me find new friends and decide what I want to do in the future. I’m now interested in politics and law, because of this experience.
What are your dreams for the future?
I’m going to do A Levels in Law, Politics and French. I’m really excited for those, especially as I couldn’t study Law and Politics for my GCSEs. I’m glad King’s InterHigh has a few different subjects to choose from, and there’s more than compulsory courses.
I’d also like to continue my studies at university. I’m not sure what degree or university I want to study at yet, but it’ll be something in the field of politics.
